FAQs

At Xpert IT Solutions, we stand by our work and strive to provide the best service possible. If your device is damaged due to a faulty repair or defective parts, we’ll fix it at no extra cost. You also receive a 6-month warranty on key parts like screen replacements, batteries, charging ports, speakers, and cameras. If any of these components fail, it’s covered under warranty.

However, any misuse or accidental damage—whether it happens a day after the repair or 6 months later—won’t be covered. We encourage you to follow our care instructions to keep your device in top condition. But if you do end up damaging your device after a repair, we’re here to help. For your convenience, our shop will offer you a discount on the next repair.

1. Use a Sturdy Case:

  • Invest in a high-quality protective case that covers the edges and back of your phone. Cases with shock absorption can reduce the risk of damage from drops.

2. Apply a Screen Protector:

  • A tempered glass or film screen protector can prevent scratches and cracks, especially if your phone takes an accidental fall.

3. Avoid Dropping Your Phone:

  • Be mindful when handling your phone, especially in situations where it’s easy to drop, like while multitasking or holding it with wet hands. Consider using a phone grip or lanyard for added security.

4. Keep it Dry:

  • Water damage can be a major issue, even for water-resistant phones. Avoid using your phone near pools, bathtubs, or in the rain without protection. Consider using a waterproof case for extra safety.

5. Watch Out for Extreme Temperatures:

  • Avoid exposing your phone to extreme heat or cold, which can affect its internal components and battery life. Don’t leave it in a hot car or outside in freezing weather.

6. Handle Charging with Care:

  • Use the correct charger and avoid yanking the charging cable out of the port. Damaged ports can be costly to repair.

7. Be Cautious with Pockets and Bags:

  • Avoid putting your phone in tight pockets or bags where it can bend or get scratched by keys or other objects. If possible, keep it in a separate compartment.

8. Use a Secure Place for Storage:

  • When not in use, store your phone in a safe place to avoid accidental falls or knocks. Avoid placing it on the edge of tables or unstable surfaces.

By following these tips, you can significantly reduce the chances of breaking your phone and keep it in good condition for longer.

The technician is not liable for you breaking your phone after they’ve repaired it because once the repair is completed and the device is returned to you, the responsibility for its care shifts back to you. Here are a few key reasons:

1. Completion of Service:
  • Once the technician has successfully completed the repair and returned the device in working condition, their responsibility ends. The service they provided was to fix a specific issue, and once that’s done, their job is complete.

2. Control and Use:

  • After the repair, you are in control of how the device is used and handled. Any accidental drops, spills, or other forms of damage that occur after this point are beyond the technician’s control. Therefore, they can’t be held responsible for new damages.

3. Warranty Coverage:

  • The technician or shop typically offers a warranty to cover issues directly related to the repair, such as faulty parts or workmanship. However, this warranty doesn’t cover new damages caused by accidents, misuse, or other factors that happen after the repair.

4. Fairness in Liability:

  • Holding the technician liable for damages that occur after the device has left their care would be unfair. Just as you wouldn’t expect a mechanic to be responsible if you get into a car accident after they’ve fixed your car, the same principle applies to phone repairs.

In summary, the technician ensures the repair is done correctly and the device is returned in good working order. Once the device is back in your hands, it’s up to you to take care of it. Any new damages that occur are not related to the repair, which is why the technician isn’t liable.

Answer: Yes and no. A screen protector’s main purpose is to reduce the chance of your screen breaking by about 70%. It absorbs impact and helps prevent cracks in most cases, but it’s not foolproof. It also protects your screen from scratches. However, it may not prevent damage in severe drops, especially on the edges or corners of your phone.

1. Quality:

  • Original Screen:
    • Quality: Original screens are manufactured by the device’s original manufacturer or an authorized supplier. They generally offer the best color accuracy, brightness, touch sensitivity, and overall display quality.
    • Durability: They tend to be more durable and reliable, with higher resistance to issues like color fading or screen burn-in.
  • Aftermarket Screen:
    • Quality: Aftermarket screens are produced by third-party manufacturers and may vary significantly in quality. Some aftermarket screens can closely match the original in terms of display quality, but others might have lower color accuracy, brightness, or touch sensitivity.
    • Durability: The durability can be less consistent compared to original screens, and some might not perform as well over time.

2. Price:

  • Original Screen:
    • Price: Generally more expensive because they come directly from the device manufacturer or an authorized supplier. The higher cost reflects the quality and authenticity of the parts.
  • Aftermarket Screen:
    • Price: Typically more affordable than original screens. The lower cost is due to the fact that they are produced by third-party manufacturers who often use less expensive materials or manufacturing processes.

3. General Preference:

  • Aftermarket Screens:
    • Popularity: Around 90% of people opt for aftermarket screens generally because of the lower price. Despite the potential differences in quality, they are still reliable and offer similar functions to original screens. For most users, the performance is adequate, and the cost savings make them a popular choice.

Summary:

  • Original screens offer superior quality, durability, and performance but come at a higher price.
  • Aftermarket screens are more budget-friendly and provide mainly the same functions as original screens, making them a popular choice despite potential variations in quality.
